During the last bbq organized by our friends, we decided to bring something different. It’s actually pretty common in Italy eat these “fruit salads” {we call it “macedonia”}, especially during summer, when the fruits are more various and tasty. My personal additions are a spoon of brown sugar, lemon juice and grapefruit juice. I also made a couple of water jugs to which I added some flavours: one with lime, pomegranate and ginger and the other one with grapefruit, rosemary and raspberries. Very tasty and super healthy!
Durante l’ultimo barbecue organizzato dai nostri amici, abbiamo deciso di portare qualcosa di diverso. In realtà è abbastanza comune per noi mangiare queste macedonie, soprattutto in estate, quando i frutti sono più vari e gustosi. Le mie aggiunte personali sono un cucchiaio di zucchero di canna, succo di limone e succo di pompelmo. Ho anche fatto un paio di brocche d’acqua a cui ho aggiunto alcuni sapori: una con lime, melograno e zenzero e l’altra con pompelmo, rosmarino e lamponi. Molto gustoso e super sano!

I think fruit salad may just be my favourite pud… though not the glacé cherries and tinned cubes of pear type! Still loving the water jugs!
